MICRODERMABRASION

A cosmetic procedure in which the outermost dead surface of skin (stratum corneum) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion. It is not painful & requires no anesthetic. It is a mechanical exfoliation that uses a powerful vacuum to spray tiny crystals that sand or polish the skin. Speeds up new healthy skin by rebuilding healthy collagen & elastin.

BOTOX

A quick & minimally invasive procedure consisting of a few tiny injections directly into the muscles. It blocks a chemical that causes these muscles to contract & helps them to relax. No anesthesia is required. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 min. and there is no downtime afterward. Can expect to see results within days after the treatment. Can last up to 4 months.

CANDELA LASERS

Many people are uncomfortable with unsightly dermal lesions like age spots, freckles and birthmarks, or with a tattoo they had applied several years ago. It is estimated that as many as 50% of individuals with tattoos regret the permanency of the tattoo and wish to have it removed. With the Candela lasers, treatment is now possible.

We are offering as a community service free radiation tattoo removal for cancer survivors. Our free clinic will be available every second Friday of the month, from 3 to 6 pm and is offered on a first come first serve basis.

VBEAM

Is a pulsed dye laser that delivers an intense but gentle burst of light into targeted areas. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or pigmented areas (melanin) in the dermis depending on the condition being treated. The skin being treated is protected by a cooling mist on the skin before the laser pulse is emitted. It increases comfort during the treatment. No anesthetic is required, but can be used. Results differ depending on the condition being treated & the number of treatments needed.

GENTLE YAG

This laser creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deeply into the skin tissue, where it delivers a controlled amount of targeted therapeutic heat. The skin is protected by a cooling burst of cryogen. Some may feel a slight discomfort with each laser pulse, sometimes described like the snapping of a rubber band on the skin. Topical anesthetic may be used prior to treatment. The number of sessions depends on the target and the condition of your skin. Any redness or swelling should resolve within a few hours.

This laser emits a light that is absorbed by water in your skin. As the laser penetrates into the skin, heat is generated in & around the sebaceous glands (oil glands) creating a mild thermal injury that changes the structure & function of the gland. Most report it to be mild with a slight snapping or stinging sensation like a rubberband. A cool mist is sprayed with each pulse. A topical anesthetic can be used. Mild redness may be seen and will subside within a day. Helps to renew skin by stimulating the generation of new collagen formation of the skin.
